ガキの頃夏休みに買った昆虫採集セット。２種類の薬品と注射器にピンセットなんかが入っていたと思う。ある日、注射器に薬品を入れて捕まえたセミに注射しようとしたところ、針がはずれて自分の太ももに刺さった。その注射でたくさんの虫たちを天国におくっていた俺は、このまま俺も死ぬんだと思い、部屋に戻り布団を引き、最期の時を待った。しかし無情にも、「いつまで寝てるの！」と言う母の声で目が覚めた。食卓に並ぶ家族の顔を見て、なぜか涙がこぼれた。
